Scope and What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to DigixData as a company and to the entire DigixData website at https://digixdata.com. It governs the personal information we handle in connection with our full range of offerings, including keynotes and speaking engagements, workshops, enterprise AI consulting, self-paced courses, our book, and the browser extensions and WordPress plugins we publish.

In this policy, "DigixData," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the company. "Personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to a particular individual. This document is a general description of our privacy practices and is not legal advice.

Some of our products, including individual browser extensions and WordPress plugins, may have their own more detailed disclosures that describe data handling specific to that product. Where a product-specific disclosure exists, it supplements this policy for that product. This policy governs our website and business as a whole.

When you submit a form on our site, we collect the details you provide so that we can respond to you. Typically this includes:

• Any additional information you voluntarily include in your message

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, our hosting provider processes technical request information to deliver pages, operate the site and protect its security. The current website does not use Google Analytics. Embedded third-party content can separately process information as described below.

This information may include your IP address, general location inferred from that address, browser type and version, device and operating system information, the pages you view, the pages that referred you, and the dates and times of your visits.

Our film portfolio includes YouTube embeds using its privacy-enhanced domain. Loading or interacting with these embeds can cause requests to YouTube and related Google services, which may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details and the referring page. If a Calendly scheduler is displayed on our speaking page, loading and using it is subject to Calendly's data practices. We treat technical information as personal information where it is linked or reasonably linkable to you.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect for legitimate business purposes, including to operate our website, communicate with you, and deliver and improve our offerings. Specifically, we use information to:

Embedded services such as YouTube and, when enabled, Calendly may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies under their own policies. Browser privacy settings and cookie controls can affect those embedded features. We do not currently use Google Analytics cookies on this website.

We do not sell your personal information. We share personal information only in the limited circumstances described below, and only as needed to run our business and serve you.

Embedded services such as YouTube and, when enabled, Calendly process information under their own terms and privacy practices.

• Business transfers: If DigixData is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to reasonable safeguards.
• With your direction: We may share information when you ask us to or otherwise consent to the sharing.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes described in this policy, such as responding to your inquiry, providing our services, meeting our legal and business obligations, and resolving disputes.

When we no longer need personal information, we take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it. Retention periods can vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.

How We Protect Information

Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for a general, professional audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

International Users and Data Transfers

DigixData is based in the United States, and we operate our website and business from the United States. If you access our site or contact us from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your location.

By using our website or providing information to us, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information consistent with this policy wherever it is processed.

WordPress Plugins

Digix URL Watch Free 0.1.0 runs on the WordPress site where it is installed. It stores local inventories of native published posts and pages without passwords: post IDs, public titles, permalinks, post types and modification timestamps. Scan status, scheduling settings and aggregate job information are stored in plugin-owned database tables and options. It does not copy post bodies, author profiles, visitor activity, orders or account details.

The plugin makes no external HTTP requests, sends no email, has no telemetry and does not send inventories or reports to DigixData or another service. The site's WordPress installation and host can separately process requests, updates, backups and logs under their own practices.

Only users with the site's administrator capability can access the dashboard and CSV downloads. Reports are streamed through protected WordPress administration requests rather than saved to the Media Library or a public file directory. Downloaded or shared CSV copies are controlled by the site operator and the destination they choose.

The two most recent completed inventories are retained. Working scans and the latest attempt can coexist temporarily until cleanup finishes. Historical reports may contain titles or URLs that were public when captured but later removed or unpublished. Native WordPress visibility does not identify every restriction imposed by membership or access-control plugins; operators should review reports before sharing them.

Pausing weekly scans retains inventories. Deactivation stops plugin jobs and retains data. Deleting the plugin through WordPress removes its inventory tables, settings and scheduled jobs without removing native content. Downloaded CSV, host backups and other copies can remain under the site's own practices.

DigixData cannot retrieve or erase inventory data held only on your site. Contact that site's operator for access, correction or removal concerning its data. For product, privacy or private security questions, email support@digixdata.com with versions and a redacted description. Do not send passwords, whole database dumps or unredacted reports; public support forum messages are visible to others.

Digix URL Watch 0.1.0 has no paid enhancement, checkout or license service. Website visits and support requests remain subject to their separate practices described in this policy. Its GPLv2-or-later software license is included in the plugin package.

Digix In-Kind Ledger Free 0.1.0 stores organization and donor details, optional donor email/address, gift dates and descriptions, reviewed acknowledgment wording, entry IDs/submission keys and void reason/time/administrator user ID in the organization's WordPress database. Its screens, letters and CSV require administrator access. Letters use browser Print / Save as PDF; CSV is prepared privately before download. It sends no email or external requests and has no analytics, payment provider or premium edition. The organization reviews its own wording; the plugin does not value gifts, verify deductibility or guarantee legal compliance.

In-Kind Ledger entries cannot be edited; voiding retains the original details. WordPress privacy export/erasure matches the donor email provided with an entry. For entries without an email, contact the site operator for appropriate handling. Deactivation and default uninstall retain records; an explicit administrator setting deletes plugin data on uninstall. Exported/printed copies and host backups may remain. DigixData cannot retrieve or erase the organization's database. The product-specific disclosure at https://legal.digixdata.com/privacy/digix-in-kind-ledger explains these practices. Its GPLv2-or-later license governs the covered software and is not limited by website copyright restrictions.

Browser Extensions

In addition to our website and other offerings, DigixData publishes browser extensions. Some of these extensions may collect or process data as part of their functionality, and that handling may differ from the general practices described here.

Where an extension collects data, its specific data practices are described in the extension's store listing and any privacy disclosure provided with it. Please review the disclosure for each extension you install to understand what it collects and how it is used. This policy continues to apply to our website and business as a whole.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our offerings, or applicable law. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of our website after an update takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
